Dental Plans
Dental insurance helps you cover the costs of dental services. These plans can stack with other insurance to ensure you’re able to manage your oral care and protect against unexpected costs. Coverage is usually broken down into three main areas:
Preventative Care
This often includes services like routine check-ups, cleanings, and X-rays. Many dental plans cover all or most preventive care, so you can stay on top of your dental hygiene and catch potential issues early.
Basic Procedures
When you need more than just a cleaning, basic procedures come into play. This can include fillings, simple extractions, and some types of gum care. Dental plans typically cover a percentage of these costs after a deductible is met.
Major procedures
More extensive dental work, such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and root canals, can be expensive. Not all dental plans include coverage for major procedures, but some options can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.
Vision Plans
Vision insurance can cover some or all of the costs related to maintaining your eye health and vision. While specific benefits vary, most plans typically include coverage for:
Routine Eye Exams
Annual check-ups that can detect any changes in your vision, as well as early signs of eye disease and certain health conditions. Many plans cover routine eye exams fully or with a small co-pay.
Eyeglasses
If you need corrective lenses, vision insurance can significantly lower your out-of-pocket expenses for frames and lenses. Plans often provide an allowance for frames and cover a percentage of the cost of various lens types and enhancements (like anti-glare, scratch-resistant, or progressive lenses).
Contact Lenses
An allowance or discount for contacts is typically included.
Elective Procedures
Some plans may offer discounts on elective procedures like LASIK surgery, though these are rarely fully covered.
Hearing Plans
Even with a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage plan, a standalone hearing plan can be a valuable addition. Many Medicare Advantage plans offer a limited annual allowance for hearing aids, which often doesn't cover the full cost, and Medicare Supplement plans typically do not cover routine hearing services at all. A standalone hearing plan fills this gap by providing dedicated, comprehensive coverage for routine exams, services, and hearing aids, helping beneficiaries avoid substantial out-of-pocket expenses for essential care. This ensures you have full financial protection and access to the hearing healthcare you need.
Preventative Care
This often includes services like routine check-ups, cleanings, and X-rays. Many dental plans cover all or most preventive care, so you can stay on top of your dental hygiene and catch potential issues early.

Accident Coverage
If you're injured in an accident, accident insurance can provide extra money to help cover expenses beyond what your regular health insurance pays. These plans often give cash payments for covered accidents.
Your payment can be used for a wide range of expenses, including but not limited to:
Emergency Room Care
Ambulance Services
Hospital Stays
Doctor visits
Diagnostic tests
Physical therapy
Specialist care
Medical equipment
Hospital Indemnity Plans
Even with Medicare, unexpected hospital stays can lead to significant out-of-pocket costs. This is where a Hospital Indemnity Plan comes in, working alongside your primary medical insurance to provide another layer of financial protection.
Your HIP will pay a predetermined amount directly to you, the insured person, either in a lump sum or daily amounts. You can use the funds to cover a wide variety of things that may include:
Hospitalizations
Deductibles/Copayments
Medical testing
Therapy/Rehab
Lodging and Transportation Costs
Housekeeping
Childcare
Groceries
Critical Illness
Critical Illness plans pay a lump sum benefit directly to you upon the diagnosis of a covered critical illness or health-related event, like cancer, heart attack, or stroke. These plans can be customized depending on your health concerns and budget
Specific Coverage
You can choose a plan that covers a single diagnosis you may be particularly concerned about (like cancer, if you have a strong family history), or opt for comprehensive coverage that includes multiple critical illnesses.
Benefit Amount and Use
You select the lump sum benefit amount you wish to receive, often in increments, up to a maximum benefit level. You can use the funds to cover health-related expenses, as well as cost-of-living expenses and more.
